Do you wash/QD between claying and polishing?

I have never heard of anyone hear doing so. It obviously would not hurt but seem a little redundant and a waste of time. The only reason I ask is because it is highly recommended by Home to wash after claying/before polishing -or- if you are not going to polish, after claying before applying LSP. Again, it wouldn't hurt to do so, I am just not sure if it is necessary.

I must have goofed up the link. It should be The Detailing Handbook's website. Not sure why the link keeps fowling up.

I rarely wash.. Very rarely. I'll either just keep the hose near me and rinse while its still wet after each panel, or do the whole car and just wipe each panel with a qd before I polish.. No need in gumming up pads with leftover contamination.
