Do I wash MF's before using for the 1st time?

Ok, I have just purchased a bunch of MF towels. Should I wash before using for the 1st time? If so, what is a good technique washing and drying and products to use?

I have also read that MF's towels used for waxing, polishing and drying should be washed separately. I have bought a couple dozen same color. Can I permanent make these towels with a Sharpie to show its specific use and wash separately or am I paranoid?

Do you wash a new t-shirt before wearing it?

It is a best practice to wash all MF towels with a dedicated MF cleaner before use. You don't know who touched your towels and what was on their hands, what could have dropped on them (dust, dirt, lint).

personally no, but my wife washes all her new clothes purchases before wearing for the 1st time.

I'm like you. I will wear a t-shirt right off the shelf. I do the same with my microfibers and have NEVER had a problem. Other ppl can;t do this

There is no right answer

It's good practice to wash new microfiber's first, only because you don't know what could be in them from the manufacturing process, to storage, to packing, to shipping..

It's not necessary, but why risk it? :bigups
