Do I need to use a glaze/polish after 3M SMR?

I think I've been reading too much. Some reviews say to follow with a glaze and others don't...

I assume my Zymol HD-Cleanse will serve the same purpose as a glaze? Is it even necessary? I thought the 3M SMR would leave the finish nice and shiney, thus I don't see a reason to use a glaze?

A glaze is not neccessary - esp if you do a good job with the SMR

1) SMR has fillers in it anyway

2) wax does the same thing as glaze - it just adds protection. Glaze doesn't - it is designed for freshly painted surfaces that still need to cure.

But lots of people use glazes anyway.

But here's a though - do a section with and another without. Can you see a difference after the wax is on? Was there a difference in ease of application of the wax? Hohw about after a week and a wash - still see a difference?

THIS is how to learn and separate myth from fact. then come here and tell us whatyou learned - PLEASE!

Alright, I'll do the hood with SMR over all of it, then use Zymol HD Cleanse on one side of the hood, and then wax the whole thing with Zymol Carbon Wax...

I think the HD-Cleanse is pretty much the same thing as a glaze/polish.... I just use it because I've found the wax seems to stick beter if you've applied the HD cleanse.

That's the Zymol advertising. I dunno how factual that is ;)

*cough* S100 *cough*

Oh blah!! :D

I have had nothing but good luck with Zymol, the HD cleanse is a great cleaner/polish. You can take your S100 and..... :nono :xyxthumbs

I'm just giving you a hard time. People use what they use and enjoy it. There have been many fads here. Blitzwax, Zaino, Blackfire, Klasse, Zymol, S100. It's all about preference and ease of use.

If you find Zymol easy to use, don't mind shelling out a little extra cash it's all good in my books.
