Do I need another polish step after SSR1?

Hey guys



Long time reader, first time poster Just after some advise on detailing my car, I've already bought alot of the products needed, but just wanted to check before I attacked anything...Do I need/should I use another polish after poorboys SSR1?



Basically my method for detailing was going to be:

1. Wash car with dawn or similar to remove the wax

2. Clay the car (Clay magic blue + magic lube)

3. Wash again (Should I use dawn again here, or ONR?)

4. Polish swirls/minor marks out using SSR2.5 & Edge Green pad (stepping up to yellow pad if i need more cut)

5. Polish again using SSR1 and edge blue pad

6. This is where im not sure if I should polish again with something like poorboys pro

7. Wash again using ONR then Wax using collinite 476 on edge white pad



Will be using a meguiars G220 RO (aussie version of the G110), and the car is a Black 06 Commodore SS (Paint would be pretty much identical to the US GTOs).

Nope, SSR1 is a mild final polish and leaves a LSP ready finish. Have fun :hifive:

Use SSR1 with a LC white pad or Megs yellow pad and your ready for your wax or sealant.

There are a lot of guys that finish up with EX or EX-P. Then something like Nattys Blue or other wax.
