Do you have any disclaimers?

What do you have them for?



You should add to the list Trailblazers.. "do not press button to open back window" they have a defect where the latch breaks as the window pops open and the window jerks upward cracking the molding on top of the door...an expensive fix $700.00

Hmm... I have owned 4 Trailblazers/Envoys, and have worked on a ton more of them, and have NEVER encountered that "defect" in hundreds of cycles opening and closing the rear glass.



And from a detailing perspective, not opening that hatch means you're leaving a huge amount of dirt and grime trapped in the surround/jamb of that area.
 
What year and what production models?

Has GM issued an advisory or such for this to dealers?

Since this is a fairly costly concern, there should be some thing available to the owners.

What she's referring to is the GMT-360/370 platform, which was produced 2002-2009 out of Moraine, Ohio. Production models included:



Chevrolet Trailblazer/EXT

GMC Envoy/XL/XUV

Oldsmobile Bravada

Buick Rainier

Isuzu Ascender

Saab 9-7X

(and, little known fact, the Chevrolet SSR was built on top of a GMT-370 frame/chassis)



The only TSBs I've ever seen or am aware of pertaining to the liftgate glass are that the latch itself can be faulty and not properly lock/latch (causing the glass to fly open on rough roads, or posing a security issue -- the prescribed fix involves repositioning the lock rod and wave washer on the latch assembly) and that the CHMSL applique (the part Gina is referring to as breaking/cracking) can become loose, requiring that it be re-adhered using 3M trim and molding tape.

Many online complaints complaints about the issue and in addition i spoke with a few body shops who advised it was common problem. One of the areas i no longer detail are sun _roofs unless you sign a waiver same with engines
 
As long as all your details are free you should be all set. Once you charge someone for services rendered these liability releases go right out the window. When you hire someone for professional services you as a consumer are expecting the job to be done in a safe and professional manor. If I bring my car in to be detailed and get called 2 hours later and told that my car is at the bottom of a swimming pool than yes the detailer is liable for my car.It was in his control, care, and custody. The detailer can't say "oh well you signed a waiver so your on your own have fun fishing your car out of the pool". Why do you think business insurance cost so much? You should not even be touching anyone's car without at least a million dollar policy. people are sue happy. That broken latch window trim problem should be covered under your garage keepers(I hope you have one) policy.
