just a update on my thoughts. had direct tv for several months now. (dropping cable). 100% satisfied. best move ever! love the service and selection.

insigina 50" led. has been awesome so far! cant believe what i was missing not having HD and a large flat screen. to get the programs that offer HD, required a quick call to DTV to activate the service. this is my first insigina product. so far i think its a great tv in this segement for the price.

glad you are enjoying your dtv, i have had several over billing issues with them. 3yr customer and probably going back to cable next round

I've had DTV since 2008. Problems? Yes, more than my share but they finally got things squared away & gave me a substantial credit and free DVR for a year. I still like it but absolutely dread calling them if there is a problem. DO consider coughing up for the "service plan" that replaces bad equipment for free. I've had four replacements of various components so far.

Id take Dish 100x over before I deal with Direct again. My bill gradually went up $25 a month while I was loosing channels every time I turned around. I have no complaints with Dish though.

When I had DTV I was surprised at how little inclement weather it took to kill the reception. When we finally got HD they wanted $400 dollars for 3 boxes and installation. And that was with a 2yr contract. I told them FIOS and the cable company would both install for free with a contract. They wouldn't budge so I cancelled. Less than a week later they called to offer free installation if I stayed. I told them I had already offered them that deal and they had turned it down. Besides the FIOS installer was done by then.
