Diluted IPA - Expiry date

Long time lurker, first time poster ...



I've got black ink on a suede seat panel of an 02 Grand Cherokee. I'm guessing that it came from a cheap Bic-type pen, rather than a fountain pen but the owner can't say for sure.



Any hope for this one? As its ink on suede I didn't experiment until I could (hopefully) get some input from you guys...

Interesting dilema. I know hairspray takes ink out of clothing but I can't say what it will do for suede. Welcome to the boards, by the way.

Exactly...which is why I'm hesitant to go the usual hairspray or citrus route until I can get the opinion of someone who has "been there/done that"...

Hey guys, just a thought. Could diluted IPA in time (say 1-2months stored) lose its effectiveness?

Does the alcohol evaporate during storage?
