Different Wax from Same Company...Pinnacle??

So I've done some searching on the Pinnacle and read quite a few post where you guys talk about the Souveran...my interpretation from the post is this is a really awesome product, but more of a show product with less than stellar durability.

However, my dad has been ranting and raving about the Pinnacle product he's been using...the XMT 180 carnuba. But, he literally loves the stuff and has commented several times on how well it last. So, two part question...

Anyone really happy with the Signature Series (or any Pinnacle for that matter) for what you're using it for? i.e. dd duties?

And, when you have a company that puts out two or three distinctly different products (in this case Souveran vs Signature vs XMT), is there really and truly that big of a difference in the product to drive the price? Is one really that different from the other?

Thanks guys!

I have only used a few pinnacle products and while yes they do work very well i couldnt really justify the price to myself when similair products do as good if not a better job and i can buy them in gallon jugs for the same price i pay for a 12oz bottle. Althoug i do admit im curious as to how their Heavy swirl remover works. But like i said most my pinnacle products sit in the cabinet. I was actully thinking about breaking out the XMT 180 for a job i have to do ill let you know how it goes. But also remember that i still use Meg's NXT Paste and Meg's Gold Class Paste as my main stay waxes because as many cars as i do they are a great balance as far as Insane shine and price so my opion may not matter LOL. but i do have 5000 other waxes when i wanna change it up lol

pinnacle siganture series 2 was my first paste wax. and i was blown away!!!!goes on like butter and omes off just the same. andleaves a glossy wet look that is simply amazing. you wld think it was a 300 dollor wax.. love it !!! i own 2 tubs infact. smells like tropical fruit...

WOW...thanks for all the information! LOL.

Any Signature Series experience? That'd probably be the one I'd try.

TGWAW...good luck with the XMT. My dad loves it.

I have used the Pinnacle Signature Series (pre Series II) paste with great satisfaction. I reserve it for use on light color metallic paints.

Not mentioned, but I'm also a fan of the Liquid Souveran product.

I dont have signature experience, but do souveran.

AG is an honorable dealer, so they're not out to screw people, so if they say there is a difference, there is.

I can tell you, there is a diff between souv and fuzion

I've heard nothing but outstanding comments about Souveran...except for its durability, or lack there of.

they make great products !!! it takes 15 min to wax my entire truck so tossing another freash coat on every couple weeks is fun and easy. so durability isnt an issue. bt for winter i go wth something else..; ill always bea pinnacle fan!!!

I have souveran, got it years ago when AG had a 2 for 1 sale and a buddy and I split the cost. Is it worth it.........that's subjective. I've tried to see a difference on my car compared to other waxes, I couldn't and neither could anyone I asked. It's decent, easy on and off and lasts untill the next good wash.

Actually if you get a chance to get Autoglym HD from Wally Mart during their 20 dollar close out, you'll actually have a better wax for a lot less money. Now, it doesn't smell pretty and it's a little more effort applying and wiping off - but, it'll last a good bit longer and looks better (again- subjective)

Unfortunately, I already checked out most of the most Walmarts in Orlando and they're already all out.:(
One still had the upc sticker (listed at $10!!!) on the shelf, but they only had the hand applicators left.

Bummer! Any chance they could locate some? I paid $35 from Wally back a few months back. Hey, I think one of the auto stores - advance or zone, or was it pep boys - but one was selling Autoglym, I got the AIO from them, not as good as Klasse but not bad.

Good luck and keep looking!

PepBoys had/has them. I also picked one up at Walmart when they were still $35, so I really don't need any, but if it's only $20, how can you resist?!

Love everything about Souveran except its durability. That said there are other products that look just as good as PS and have far better durability. Not to mention the looks are 85% prep and 15% LSP at best. JMHO
