Different strokes for different folks

On MOL they have a thread about ICE.
This product has been discussed here and most did not care for it myself included.

I was amazed at all the posts at MOL singing praise for ICE. :notme:

I saw a nice selection of NuFinish at my local auto parts store over the weekend.

I've learned that most people, don't have a clue about car care products.. they jump on what ad's they see on TV, magazines, or read about online..If ICE is getting some good raps, then that inspires them to buy it...even if the results are marginal.

Another thing that I see with consumer level car products is, ease of use. If he goes on easy and comes of easy, it in most cases the consumer is going to use it for that reason...the results will be OK for there eye, they've done what is needed to protect in their minds.

ICE and lots of other products IMO fall into this category.

Some commented on how good it worked on trim.
I tried it on trim and found it not all that good or compared to something like PB-TR it is not worth a sheet
Beemer is probably right these guys don't want to bother with using different products they are looking for a fast easy 1 step that leaves it looking OK at least to them it looks OK. :passout:

Are these credible members raving about ICE or are they new guys looking to do a little promoting.:notme:

I'm surprised MOL allows it.

Back in the late 80's I did use Nu Finish.:passout:

There are a lot of people who will swear by it. I used it many years ago.. I did not know what I hated worse: the smell, the staining of anything it touched, or the shine that disappeared in a month or so. Some think it lasts 6 months or more.

What works for some people doesn't work for others.
It's like the thread title: Different strokes for different folks
Just find something you like and don't worry about what anyone else uses.
There must be at least 100 products that will do a decent job if used right.
It's said often enough, 90% process, 10% product. :bigups

(I wonder who first coined that phrase.) :)
