Difference between Vanilla Moose and Red Moose?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone would explain the differences in Clearkote Vanilla Moose and Red Moose...?

Thanks as always!

I know the product names are kind of similar, they are both called a glaze, are both petroleum based, and both seem to diminish fine marring. First off, I'll tell you what is actually on the product labels. The Vanilla Moose is recommended for use on paint, plastic, glass, chrome, and rubber (seals specifically). The Red Moose is recommended for painted and plastic surfaces only. Application instructions are the same for both (hands or machine can be used). I have used both products and thought they were both good. It depends what you are wanting. The Vanilla Moose smells like potpourri and is a better and more durable protectant. It is also a very easy to use wax. It simply wipes on and off. The Red Moose is easier to work by machine (doesn't instantly dry like Vanilla) and it will leave a nicer shine (IMO one of the best. reflections are very sharp, likely because it's petroleum based). The Red Moose however, smells like diesel and is not a great protectant. Water somewhat sheets off it initially, but it really needs a topcoat of wax. If you want an easy to use wax, I'd recommend Vanilla Moose. If you want to really notice a difference in reflectivity and gloss, I'd recommend Red Moose. Neither product will disappoint, but based on my experience, I was much happier with Red Moose. Hope this helps you.

Vanilla Moose Glaze has more cleaning abilities. Some of the people here mix the two together and make pink moose glaze.
