Did my first motorcycle this weekend

I was asked to add a branch to my buisness when a regular cutomer(7 vehicles) asked if I wanted to try washing his bike. Its a black 03 Harley Sportster with tons of chrome. I washed with a chennille mit and car shampoo, dried with terry towel and a final wipe down with quickshine. Came out great. Just proved to myself most things you worry about dont need to be worried about. Skills and instinct take over to produce results. I was wondering how many of youall do bikes and if there are any hints and products you prefer.

Your story sounds a lot like the way I got started into motorcycle detailing. That's always a good way to extend the mainstay of your business. Congratulations on taking care of your first motorcycle.

1996 Harley Softail



I plan to wash it, polish any paint and protect with Natty's, then polish all chrome, clean and condition all leather, and polish out any plastic. I may do a diluted coat of tire dressing just to give some conditioning to the rubber.
