Did I do it right?

I'm new to detailing, and I recently washed my car, did I do it right?

Heres what I did:

I rinsed off my car with a hose

I then put 3 teaspoons of gold series meguires carwash in my bucket of water.

Then I dipped my sheepskin mit in the water with soap and went over my car 2 times.

Then I rinsed it off

Then I dried it with a microfiber terry cloth towel, but it wouldn't dry, I kept getting these leftover watermarks.

Then I just did the wheels and tired with solution.

It doesn't look that nice, from far away It looks nice, but upclose you can see all the water leftover. :(

Leaf blower + microfiber? That might help with the water marks, and is the way a lot of folks on here dry their rides.

BlackCLS01- When I tried drying with a "terry cloth" style MF I couldn't get all the water off either; it always left some on the paint just like it did for you.

Get some waffle-weave MFs. They work great and and they pick up *all* the water.

Agreed. I have the same experience with terry towels. They remove some water, but not all of it. Waffle Weave MFs are great for drying.

After I use the "Perfect Drying Technique", I'm able to go around the car with a WWMF and finish up. :xyxthumbs
