Did I apply my Klasse SG incorrectly?

I've read in this forum that people are waiting one day between coats of the Klasse Super Glaze. The directions on my bottle don't mention this. I just got in from the garage after doing the whole All-in-One...then three coats of SG. I let each coat of SG dry for about a half hour befopre buffing it off. Then I applied another right behind it. Shoudl I have waited?? If so, why.....and why don't the direction tell you this?

Thanks for the help.

By the way, my new VW Passat looks awesome after all that Klasse. No pix to post yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I believe your suppose to let it sit atleast 24 between coats of SG to let it cure. Something about polymers linking together...

Does anyone know the science behind letting it cure?

The Sealant Glaze takes a day to properly cure. You can layer it on one after the other but you just won't get the same effect. Waiting 45 min to an hour is the prescribed method but if you can buff it off after 30 minutes then more power to ya. You will definatly notice a difference if you let it cure a little longer. 2 coats in one day is all I would really recommend using.

The instructions are vague because there is more than one way to get results out of it. Obviously, there are different levels of results you can get so you just need to experiment. Most Klasse users would agree that more time between coats is better but that isn't the only way to do it. Whatever works, ya know? :) I love that Klasse look, though. I had over 12 coats on my car before I took it off. It is really nice stuff. :up

I applied AIO then followed with a coat of SG then 1 coat each day for the next 2 days my car is garaged= SGx3. I let the SG dry for about 1/2 an hour before buffing. The only thing I dont like is the sound from yhe foam app. when it is dry at the begining.

there's a lot of things that Klasse doesn't tell you when applying

so after some people on here have tried, experiemented, and reported, we have sort of refined our own directions and techniques.

There is a long thread about polymers curing. Set up the detailing forum by sorting for views and it should be at the top.

It may be in the archives I forget where but you will see it.
