While being prepared to ride out Hurricane Ike at the house, the unfortunate news of a possible 20 foot storm surge made us seek higher ground. To that end we packed the wife's truck and headed 30 miles inland to stay with some folks but the truck was parked outside during the storm. We were more fortunate than most; the surge luckily didn't happen at our location and we were able to return home later the next day...but the truck stayed out in the elements that night and was subjected to 80-90 mph sustained winds w/ gusts to 110 and 15 hrs. of driving rain.
I was somewhat surprised that the DG 271 Rubber & Flat Black Dressing that I applied about 2 months ago to black plastic surfaces held up well (no streaking and no difference in appearance.) I knew it was really good stuff and have been recommending it to all who would listen - now I swear by it!
A side note: I did a full detail to her truck a few days before this including Blackfire GEP and DG 501 x 2 to the paint and one knows one is a true Autopian when one goes out in hurricane winds and looks at the beading
