DFW mini-meet??

This is last minute but I'll be in the DFW area from 4-8 to 4-10. I have an open house to attend hosted by one of the distributors I buy from, but other than that I wouldn't mind meeting a few from here and exchanging (OK, gathering) tips and tricks. I would love to see how someone else "works it" and what products they use. I could even bring my small collection for possible product swap. Would anyone be interested?

I've got full schedules on Friday and Saturday, I may be able to do something on Sunday....but my brother's Father-in-Law was killed in a car accident this past weekend. The funeral is up in Chicago and when he, his wife and Mother-in-Law get back, they are going to have a memorial service here. I just don't know when yet. :(

Excuses, excuses...I know:o . I'm supposed to be working a charity car wash Friday afternoon/evening, and am also supposed to be at a birthday dinner. One is in the Irving area and the other is in Garland :nixweiss I just learned tonight that I'm expected to be an interior judge of the related car show on Saturday.

Hope you enjoy the trip. :) Distributors of what?

I'm open to meeting on Sunday if I don't have a memorial service to go to. I will know more towards the end of the week.

What part of the DFW metromess will you be in?

Where in the DFW area will you be?

As of the most current information I have, the funeral for my sister-in-law's father's funeral will be on Friday or Saturday in the Chicago area, so odds are they won't be back in town until at least late Sunday.

Sunday now looks pretty good for me.

I was browsing the linked sites and on ClearKote's site, they mention that they will be at the DFW swap meet at LaGrave Field in Ft. Worth 4-9 and 4-10. Has anyone been to one of these kinds of things? They said they were going to have specials. I thought I might pick up some VM and a couple other things. I had planned to hit that on Saturday, but my Sunday will have to be short. It's a 4.5 hour trip back home and I know who will be doing the driving, and it's not my wife.

Scottwax: Friday nite, we'll get to town, eat some P. F. Changs, and check in to the Doubletree Farmer's Branch. Sat., my wife is meeting up with her friends and I'm solo for the next 24-30 hours. Nothing planned Sat. until 8:30 pm. That's when the cocktail party starts at the Marriott just south of LBJ on Luna. It's sponsored by the distributor having the open house all weekend. That goes until 10:30-11:00. That's the only "plans" I have other than stopping by the swap meet.

I got a call from Everett about that car show. I have to work most of the day on Saturday but I will be out there on Sunday.

I don't know how much I'll be able to do on Sunday. I'll have the wife with me after mid-morning or so and I know she won't want to go. Well, she'll go but she will give that "are you ready to leave?" look every 5 minutes, so maybe she'll go eat lunch with her friends before meeting back up with me. What time does the swap meet get going in the morning and how long does it last? I don't remember seeing a time but I'll do some digging.
