DeWalt Buffer

I have a DeWalt rotary buffer and I want to buy some new pads. I still have the old ones from my work which are cotton. I see that foam pads seem to be the best way to go. What do you guys think and where should I look for new ones at?

Where did you work? Never seen any shop use cotton pads, didnt even know they made cotton pads. Do you mean bonnets?

They are considered pads I believe. I worked at a Chevy Dealership. The pads are yellow, look like yarn, can be thrown like a frisbee, and have velcrow backing on them.



(im sure i spelled some words wrong there...lol)
 
You mean wool pads? It would be typical of a dealer to use just wool.



My vote would be to buy pads from danase.com. Best to use smaller pads IMO like 6.5" or 6". Much easier to control. Really all you need is a foam cutting pad, polishing pad and a finishing pad.
