Detailing newb question

when applying a wax...what direction do you guys recommend applying the wax in?





I've always heard apply in a circular manner very thin and buff off...





how do you guys do it? whats the best way to really make the lines stand out on the car?







PS~this is for a black car. :grinno:

I'm not shure how much it matters, I was always told circles on stripes off. I have never had a problem with that procedure. The thin part is right. And what exactly do you mean by make the lines stand out??
 
by lines i mean contours...(ie fender flares, etc.) :) thanks for the help...any others who beg to differ? :wavey

If so then this is achieved by the process not the way you apply wax.
