So im refurbishing my 2003 subaru wrx headlights today. About 2 years ago i painted the housings black and since then the plastic coverings have become a little murky. So yesteday i took em off, wetsanded them with 1500, then finished them off with 2000, then used some Novus fine scratch remover and my orbital buffer. The outside is beautiful. Smooth like showroom quality.
But the inside of the plastic housing has some haze on it. I heard somewhere that its ok to wet sand the outside of a headlight, but never the inside. Is that true? Should i just throw in some of that Novus stuff and buff it?
I will also be re-baking the headlights and repainting the housings with a glossy paint and maybe a layer of clear coat. I'll post pics when im done.
