Whats the best way to remove bugs from the front fairing on a harley? Everytime i ride it the fairing is covered with bugs. Whats the best way to get them off, I usually use a quick detailer cause i dont have time to wash it after everytime i ride. An also what the best way to clean the rear wheels, there a pain to get too?

wet bath towel and leave it on the fairing for an hour or so to soften them up, then come back with a QD. Careful, it scratches super easy and some of the bugs eat dirt and crap that oozes out and scratches. Best way to clean the rear wheel is a bike lift, but one of those bike wheel rollers from harbor freight should help out.

The best way is to strip any foreign contamination including unwanted old and aged conditioner or protector down to its original OEM finish with a pH 7.7 leather prep, clean off the sticky mess with a leather-safe (pH 3-5) cleaner and follows with an acidifying pH 3.0 rinse.

Thereafter, re-protect with a “Non-Stick protector.

And the next ride, when these sticky as honey bugs do stick (probably less as they will slide off with the new non-stick surface; just like the non-stick Teflon pan makes cleaning much easier); just wiping down with a damp wet towel will be a new experience.

Spray on another treatment and continue your ride.

You will have a much trouble-free sticky as honey bugs to bother you.

Give it a try!
