Detailing: Full Day's Work

Mobile Detailing Services
Well, after a few days of bad weather, we finally got some temps that were ing the 50's. This, along with sunshine, got my phone to ringing almost constantly! With a full day booked yesterday (Thursday), I stopped taking appointments with 6 to do. A couple of wash and waxes and few washes. In all a busy day. As you can see in the pics, everyone drives big toys here!

I arrived at a local real estate agency that does a lot of business with me. The owners are a husband and wife team. He recently purchased a F-250 Crew Cab "King Ranch" and she drives a black Land Rover LSE that most of you have seen before. She left out before I could snap any pics of her's. It was just a wash/ Vac.

Here's the F-250 Before:

I washed it. Boy did I have to wash it! Caked on mud and tons of water spots. All he wanted was just a one-step polish/seal on the outside so out came Poorboy's Polish with Sealant. I slapped on an EDGE Yellow Cutting pad and went to work. This chemical and pad combo leaves no marring and removed all of the water spots! Try take a look at the tailpipe too. It was polished with the same process as the paint. Nothing special on the interior other than a wipe down and vac.

After.....

Stay tuned for more in a sec!

Did a Bug too. You all have seen this one a few times. Not very dirty at all. It was just time for it's paint cleaning/protection. Gave it a bath and cleaned the top with 303 Covertible Top Cleaner and then protected it with 303's Top Protection. Paint got PB's PwS.

Here it is......

Justin, I love your day-to-day threads! You definitely should post up some more for us.

I didn't know you all wanted to see anything other than full details!

I'll do more of this if you all like it.

Thanks for the compliments!

Nice work Justin, coming from another Justin...hehe my name too. Hey, I figured that PB's polish with sealent or carnauba would be worked with a white polishing pad no? So if you use a orange or yellow pad, it will remove more swirls?

How would you use PwC on a brand new black car? (I have a 6.5" orange, white, gray kit from Wolfgang) The car will be Dawn'd and clayed and has only very minor marring from one dealer wash. Thanks.

You can use it with any pad. It has chemical cleaners and no abrasives so the pad is cutting but lubed by the PwS. Just experiment. Very easy product to use. Cleans like no other.....even after claying.

Excellent as expected, Justin. Pretty nice to have wash 'n one-steps turn out that good, eh? :)

Thanks Scott. So satisfying to me to get results fast........and get paid! Customer was floored. He noticed the water spots missing faster than I could show him!

Thanks. Since it only has chemical cleaners, then it most likely won't remove any swirls with just a white pad right? I might step up to a orange one then? Once again, this is not a water spotted, swirled car, it's brand new with very few paint defects.

Not to be a nut-hugger, but personally I love these kind of threads! I wish more people like you and Scott would post these up almost daily. I know that'd be a hassle, but still, you get the idear.

agreed. :woot:

I love these threads because they give so much more information to what a product combo is capable of. That is an awesome finish with a cutting pad!

Thanks guys.

I simply want all of you to know that this hobby can into a real job and make real money at it.

I have to admit, you, scott and a few others here have really given me the motivation to do that. At age 17 I feel I'm bound for success; both my parents and customers have said I have a great knowledge of how to run the business and they were so impressed by the conduct and manners in which I contacted and built relationships with them.

Oh, and relationships are the #1 thing to repeat customers. Repeat customers cost less than getting new customers, unless it's word of mouth :D
