Detailing a hummer (newer style) - black trim?

A friend of mine was telling me how when she details Hummers (newer style) it takes her hours to tape off the plastic trim, and it has to be taped off because it's so porous it just absorbs polish and stains and won't come out.



Does anybody have any tricks that they use on Hummer's trim to remove stained polishes?

I had stains on my trim and i used a toothbrush and some all purpose cleaner and it removed it like a champ. dont get on car paint tho.
