Detailers as Independent Contractors

I know a few of you run your businesses with your detailers as Independent Contractors. I'm just looking for a little info and feedback from those of you that do and how well it works for you. I have a possible business idea I want to throw out there but I want to hear a little discussion first.

1... 2... 3... Go. :hifive:

Hmmm...Hourly detailers are underpaid enough as it is. Now, they're going to lose their EI?

Sorry, no experience with employees so no relevant business expertise to offer in this area.

Is a delearship outsourcing its detailing of just arriving cars to you or are they outsourcing the running the detail service out of their shop? Or something else completely?

Currently... both. But I am considering hiring a couple employees and I know some of the guys with larger shops ran it like an auto service shop. Owner runs the building and management stuff while the mechanics 'rent' their stalls, per se. Sure, maybe not the greatest of analogies, but this is what I wanted to discuss.

All my people were sub-contractors. It's the best way for owner & detailer. There's too much info to list. PM me your # if you want the low down.
