I'm looking for recommendations for a Portland, Oregon (zip code 97206, area code 503) auto detailer who is very thorough and charges a reasonable price.
How thorough should a detail shop be in cleaning the car? I'm especially concerned about the interior (which is not thrashed, the fabric is in good condition) but I want everything to be clean enough to eat off of. Things such as cleaning the a/c vents, everything, then the engine then the exterior.
How much should this cost? I've received estimates from $150 - $179, one shop says they can get it in almost new condition for $179 and they're close to my house, open on Saturdays, the guy seemed friendly on the phone, he can even drop me off at home to wait then pick me up in 4 hours when it's done. So what's a good price for auto detail cleaning?
What sort of questions should I ask the auto detail shops to help weed out the bad shops?
