Well after four weeks, two of which were non stop rain here in SoCal I finally decided the Honda needed a bath.

Here's the list of products I used:

Wash: Gold Class / Viking Wash Mitt

Dry: The Absorber (mind you only on the silver car ;) )

Wax: Z5

Trim: Meguiars Trim Detailer

Tires: Meguirs Hot Shine (non aerosol)

Interior Plastics/Carpet: Blue Coral Dry Clean

Glass: Cosco Glass Cleaner

Here a couple of before/after pictures:

Here's a shot of a tire after (Note I just finished spraying the tire so it's still wet in this photo)

Nice exterior shot. I use "HvDuty" clear plastic floor mats (bigger ridges to catch "grit") for saving wear and tear on carpet/carpet mats. (Sand was the invisible killer of some of my old car carpets when I forgot to vac....). :usa

Great work! That dog hair is a pain sometimes. I have been using a lint roller lately and found that gets about 90% first then hit it with the vacuum. Nice job.

Thanks everyone:)

I hate pet hair, how it weaves itself into carpet is a mystery to me and removing it is a tedious and necessary evil. We have a sticky roller in nearly every room in the house and one in her car, good thing Cosco carries them for cheap.:xyxthumbs

The CRV actually looks better now that the trim and tire products have toned down. The Meguiars Hot Shine is excellent if anyone likes their tires a deep black with a higher gloss. The haven't streaked at all after a couple of commutes on the highway. Personally I like the satin look but my wife likes the shiny stuff....why argue.;)

Marty,

If we end up moving back east I'll definitely consider a rubber mat for the winters similar to what you're describing.

BTW the CRV has 67K miles on it now, not too shabby for a two year old.:)

Heh heh, nice to see your wife's DD getting some attention, too. By the looks of your "before" pics, you aren't REALLY neglecting it all that much ;)

ROTFLMAO! Lynn how did you know I drive with bare feet.:D :shocked :D

Pretty lucky out here in SoCal, the harshest things our cars are subject to are stone chips, bird bombs and dog errr I mean feet hair.:p
