Not sure if I can call this a sale but I got an email saying that using the coupon:

"exclusivefree" you get Clearkote Quick Shine and 3 Microfiber towels. The Clearkote is probably here because they were clearing it out.

"exclusiveflat" you get $2.99 flat rate shipping (now only waiting on a good daily special- gallon)

These last till 11:59PM on August 20th.

Sale...?

DI is always having some good sales/promotions going on (flat $2.99 shipping fee is nice, and is basically like paying for tax) and i wish more vendors would do this...

you posted the exact same thing on DI. It's a good sale as mentioned they always have good deals. $2.99 for shipping is a steal if you think about it. Most other retailers will charge you more then $2.99 just to ship 1 buffing pad.

I wish more vendors would offer flat rate shipping via USPS to us in Hawaii. They would get a lot more business for sure.

Yeah, I posted the same on DB, just thought I'd tell both (the ones I am generally active on) the rest I don't bother with. Flat rate shipping at $20 min, is always nice to have and helps with generally small orders.

I purchased Micro-Restore and can tell you I am not impressed. I was very disappointed that my microfibers came out with dirt still in them. Even the one's I use to clean windows seemed as dirty as when I put them in the washer.

I had been using Woolite, or Woolite generic brands and had better results. I expected a lot more and didn't get it.

I wondered about that. I never tried microfiber detergents but had a feeling they'd be too weak. I just use dawn to hand wash in the sink as I don't have a washing machine. Even with repeated washing with dawn, and some spray and wash spot remover, sometimes it's not even enough to get some stains out of microfiber.

....hmmm. I actually like the results I get with Micro Restore but then again, I usually presoak heavier soiled/stained items. I also don't particularly care if certain stains are not removed as long as the towel is "clean" (free of residue/debris) and it doesn't affect its characteristics/performance. The only visible soiling (if any) my paint towels may have are relatively light and usually caused by such things as rubbing against moulding. Those types of marks are usually gone when I pull them out of the wash/dryer.

It is amazing how people have two drastically differences with products.

Sounds like Kean is presoaking the dirt out first, where I had not been doing that with mild dirt, like from glass. I think presoaking would certainly have removed the dirt. My comparison was with the Woolite wash and no need to presoak. Kean also did not mind the stains, I happened to notice a significant difference from what I was using before.

I have increased the amount used to two ounces even for small washes. Last load was a bit better.

I guess I am not impressed enough to purchase Micro-Restore over the Woolite generic Target brand and vinegar. I know there are others who swear by this and similar products, which is why I bought it.

....to clarify, I mentioned that I soak some of my heavier soiled items and I don't mind certain stains that may be tough to get out regardless. Overall, I think Micro Restore (in my situation) does a good job cleaning. Generally, my paint, window, interior and drying towels have light soiling. ....certainly nothing MR can't handle in most cases. My grundgier towels are the ones I use for jambs, wheels, etc. ....and I may not even presoak those depending on the scenario.

Like most products though, some simply don't work for some people. It's not that I think they are using them wrong but there are likely other variables to consider as well. As long as folks are able to find something that works for them though, I think that's all that matters.

I know this might sound stupid, but has anybody tried oxyclean yet? I do a little beer making, and it is what we use to clean equipment prior to disinfecting. I would be really curious to see how this works. I have some DP pad and microfiber cleaner, and it has the same almost slimy feeling when mixed that oxyclean does. It might be worth a shot. You can get the fragrance free oxy at walmart.
