Hi all,

I just noticed a bag of these the other day and wondered how good they were and if they were worth wasting my time with. I have two bags (36 towels or so) that are the kind you can get all over the place, and I'm starting to think they arent REALLY 100% cotton, since in some places I've got some very fine scratches  They also are started to seem kind of stiff, some worse than others. Thanks for any input :up

Viking Terry cloth towels are good for:

Cleaning your engine

Cleaning susprension componets

I WOULD NOT LET ONE TOUCH MY PAINT!!!!!!!!

JMHO [/b]</blockquote>Agreed. Save the cheap towels for other jobs, expensive towels and high quality microfiber for paint. JMO again.

With a few exceptions here and there, store-bought terry cloths should not be used on your paint. The only cotton I would use are high-quality, soft bath towels serged to the size of your choice (eg. RVs, Charismas).

I couldn't agree more. Those towels are not of real good quality. They are more like shop rags. Sorry but that's an honest assessment (opinion).

Thanks for the input guys, and dont worry, I think they are bad too :) I just didnt realize how bad they were until recently. They are really handy for quick cleanup jobs, but Im starting to almost cringe when I use tehm for QD. Time for some new high quality MF's :)

Looks good! the black looks very wet.

So if i may ask. Why did you get rid of your BMW?

Unfortunately, I was laid off about 6 months ago, and I have not been able to find anything else. We couldn't keep up with the payments. But, I will get it back some day:thumbup:

looks great ! It is so clean and swirl free I am Jelious.
No need to be jelious. I am sure that you keep your ride looking great.
Looks great Barry. Very nice job :ar!

Do you plan on ever trying to sand out that orange peel or just leave it be :-?
Thanks Flash.
I have talked to a lot of people and all of them have told me that sanding factory paint especially on a DD may not be a great idea. Also, since I don't have a garage to work in, it might be difficult keeping things clean.
Looking great Barry! I wish I could have gotten you the 85rd before you started polishing that baby out. That flake really pops!

Thanks Jon.
That would have been great, but I had to get this done while I had the time to do it. I am excited to try out the 85RD. I have heard so many great things about it.

Barry !

She looks great !!!!!

The metallic flakes really come out with that Optimum Polish don't they!!!

Your Corolla is easily the most beautiful around - you are really doing great !!

I also have tried the Optimum Spray Polish a few times, and I really like what it does to metallic paint - it really makes the metallic flakes look like they are "growing out" of the paint.
I like how it cuts really fast and no dust !! :):):)

Totally love the BFWD and Midnight Sun twins for your LSP's, they really turn a great gloss and shine to a higher level.

We are proud of ya !!
