Well I didn't really detail a tank, but it got you in here.
Anyway I detailed my father's 99 GMC Suburban. It's big enough so I guess you could call it a tank. The truck has made numerous trips to and from North Carolina so it has seen it's share of the open road. Now the truck just sits in the garage until the weekends when we take it to Church.
This is my first Autopian picture post. More to come...
Anyway here are the steps that I used.
3M Fine Compound (x2 depending on how bad each panel was)
Megs #9 SMR (x2 depending on how many scratches were left after the fine compound)
Detail King Foam Pad Glaze (This stuff works real well. Took out some of the fine fine scratches and left a nice smooth finish to the paint)
Klasse AIO
Liquid Glass (LSP)
Invisible Glass on windows
Armor All on trim and wheel wells
Detail King Tire Shine on tires ( Still debating whether I like this stuff or not)
Sorry no before pictures, but I have a couple afters...
I'm open for questions, comments, and suggestions.. both good and bad.
Hope you enjoy!
