Mobile Detailing Services
Well, I haven't done many full details over the last 2 week. I've mostly been doing washes and vac's. This is actually alot more profitable to me than just doing 1 full detail. I can do 6 wash/vacs at 60.00 a piece in about 6 hours if most are at one place. I usually do 2-3 at time. Assembly line style.

Ok, back to the bike. This is the owner of the black CTS that I did while back. He used to have a motorcyle school in south Floriday. He sold it about a year ago and moved up here. I wash and clean his bikes on a monthly basis. Why I have never taken any pics is beyond me. This was a full detail which gets the same processes as a car or truck other than everything is by hand. Polishing is done by hand. Whew! Bikes are all as hard a any other vehicle.

At least I didn't have to do the tires!!!

(For you non-bikers, you NEVER put anything on the tires or seats!)

Here's the process....

Start time:

9:30am

Finish time:

12:30pm

Payment:

200.00

DP 4-in-1 Rinseless Wash

(Used Cobra Green MF towel to wash....Guzzler to dry.)

I hate washing bike due to the excess water they hold. I was really excited about using the rinseless system on it. Cleaned up in under 20 minutes. Did very well on those dirty wheels too.

Meguiar's #80

(Used terry covered applicator by hand)

I chose to use this product since I've had really good luck with it used by hand. I applied with pressure in a front to rear pattern. #80 really cleaned up the paint and removed the minor scratches in the paint. I did not use it on the non-painted lower sections.

Collinite No.915-Marque D'Elegance

(Applied with damp foam applicator)

I haven't used this gem of a wax in a while. I applied a thin layer to all of the painted areas. I let sit for 30 minutes while I ate my lunch. Buffed off so easy with a Cobra MF towel. I also did the wheels with it too. I wanted a durable finish as well as the looks. I think they both arrived!

DP Spray Surface Shield Sealant

(Applied with Cobra MF towel)

I used this on all non-painted surfaces including the windshield (inside and out) and instrument panel. The helmet also got a coat. Simply easy to use.

Befores....

Very dirty wheels. 4-in-1 did amazingly well on them....

It's probably a stupid question... but those tires aren't dressed, right? I guess its not customary to dress bike tires

great results though

Definately don't dress bike tires unless it's a show bike; it's a safety hazard.

Great job again Justin.......:2thumbs:

On a bike like that I would agree you dont do tires..

I only do Harleys and every bike that leaves our shop has the tires dressed....never had a problem. Tires with WW will get three coats of Griots waterproof tire dressing.

brake dust, road grime...etc.

True but road grime would not be in a local area (neither would brake dust). I know my GSXR does not get that bad (with a chain). I know my last shaft bike never did that. Just wondered here on the shaft, that is all.

Excellent as always. :)

You'd think a bike is an easy detail at first glance, eh? ;)

I've got a Road King to do tomorrow (along with an Escalade) and that means I have saddle bags, windscreen, etc to remove and put back on. Plus it has whitewalls. :nervous2:

Awesome job as always, I've never gotten the chance to do a bike yet, Seems like its time consuming and very hard to get in all those weird angles, great job though, the bike looks killer :spot

I do several Harleys in the summer. Chrome and leather alone takes longer than a wash/vac on a H2!

They are tough. I wear rubber gloves to so I get no fingerprints on the chrome.

It seems like I remember you have suplies in milk crates...two of those stacked makes a great stand for bags. Mr Cleaner Erasers work wonders on white walls.
