Mobile Detailing Services
Last week while working on a car, I was approached by the owner of our local movie theater. He asked if we could work out a deal for 3 vehicles. We did and today was the first one's appointment. This was his wife's ride. It's an '03 with only 22k miles on it. The thing is, it sits.......a lot! This thing was covered in mold and mildew from being under an oak tree. The only saving grace was that it's white! The interior wasn't that bad though. This was supposed to be just a wash/vac/wax but since he knows a lot of people, I figured I'd take care of him!

Here's the process......

Wheels, Tires, and Wells

(Purple Power Degreaser, Meguiar's Wheel Brightener, and Wheel ShMitt. Also used Stoner's Tarminator.)
She had ran through some paint while on a trip along with some tar. I sprayed the areas and well with Tarminator and let sit for a few minutes. I then came back and sprayed the tires and wells with Purple Power degreaser and blasted away with my pressure washer. The Tarminator loosened up the paint enough that it came right off. Last, I gave the wheels a bath with Wheel Brightener at 4:1. I then scrubbed them down with a wheel ShMitt....using a rubber glove of course.

Wash Cycle
(Meguiar's NXT Tech Wash x3 with Black ShMitt)
This thing was dirty! Took 3 washes to get rid of everything. This black ShMitt does wonders though.

Paint Correction
Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl Remover
(Used EDGE2K Yellow Pad at a #5 PC setting)
This chemical did a very good job at removing dirt and swirls. It also knocked down some deeper scratches. I had tons of work time....even in full sun. Came off of the paint easy.

Paint Protection
Pinnacle's Souveran Spray Wax
(One spray per panel, wipe with MF towel, flip and buff off.)
I does not get any easier than this. This is truly a product all must try once. If you do and don't like it, let me know and I'll buy the rest from you! Gave tons of depth and and hard to get reflection on white.

Interior
(DP's Total Interior Cleaner, Pinnacle's Vinyl and Rubber Protectant, Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, and Diamondite's Glass Cleaner)
I pretty much just cleaned all surfaces then protected them. The matts were pressure washed and left to dry. Sorry, no pics of them.

Engine Bay
(DP's Engine Degreaser and Armor All Tire Foam)
Most know my process for this. Clean and then spray on the foam while wet. Crank the car, shut the hood, and let run for 15 minutes. That's it!

Why did you wash the entire vehicle with the black Shmitt? As far as I know, that is the one for the wheels. I have both Shmitts and it seems like the black one wouldn't be good for paint because it's harsh foam wouldn't make good contact with the paint. I'm pretty sure it would swirl up the paint too.

Anyways....The Caddy looks really good. I'm sure the owner was very pleased.

It would at 1500RPMS.

Feel it. It's as soft at any sponge I have ever used. I have used this black ShMitt on over 75 vehicles now including tons of black ones. No marring and no scratching. If anything, it releases the debris better because of it's larger pores.

I thought I would test this and man, the thing works awesome!

I bet you are leaving it wet and that is why it is soft. It's along the same lines as a bug sponge or bug block. When they are dry they are stiff and abrasive, but after they soak they are soft.

Troy

I know that it softens up quite a bit when wet, but I still wouldn't want to be using it on my black paint. But then again, I haven't had a reason to. The regular Shmitt takes care of anything that is on my paint during a wash.

You're right Troy. I do leave it wet. Audiboy, the white is fine. In no way am I trying to convince you to do it my way. I would never do that. I have just found that this is efficient for me.

I think you do great work, I no that you gota love that pc-washer when it comes to rims and tires it's the monster!!
