Detailed.....04BlownZ06 and 03 Suburban

This Suburban was very scratched up on the one driver door from the little Mrs. using a car wash brush......

Customer was only getting a single stage polish job, so no rotary or multi step compounding so I had to do what I could with it for only one time over with the PC.

There was a bit of micromarring, but customer was extremely happy with results even though I wasn't.......

Process:

Interior vacuumed, dusted, 303 on panels and dash and spot treated and Meg's Leather Conditioner on seats.

Wash ONR

Wells/rims scrubbed and treated with ONR and 303, rims cleaned with Dirtex

Tires treated with Meg's tire foam

Claybar

3M 39002 with PC and yellow LC pads at 6.

Thanks, yea the suburban door was horrible and the rest of it wasn't bad at all. But it cleaned up nicer then what the pics show, I just am used to getting paints restored back to origonal state so it bugged me that I didn't have time to do more with it, I had 3 full blown all out detail jobs that day so I was limited on time.:waxing:

That Vette was pretty sweet.:woot:

Nice work! Gotta love those Corsa "trumpets" on the Vette. :usa What did you use on them?

I like to use BlueMagic Metal Polish on blackened tips like that, then wipe down and spray them with Dirtex and they pop like mad.

Those Lingenfelter Vetts are no joke. You made it look awesome again.:waxing:

Very true, I tapped it (with owners consent, he was sitting in it while I did it and I've owned a vette before so he knows I know.....) up to not even 2,000 rpms and it snapped my head back like a whip......:woot:

Excellent job as always, the Suburban is very impressive for only one polishing step...but then again, that is all most soccer moms are willing to pay for since they will mess it up again pretty quickly. ;)

Thanks, yea no need to make it "new" again since it's a suburban and will be getting it's share of wear and tear in the future. He was pretty happy and tipped me $80:woot2: bucks between both the sub and vette.

Great work as always Josh.

Being that you where working with a PC, I don't think that you could of asked for much more from a 1 step polish on the black suburban. Using a rotary, I find that a 50/50 of EC/OP and a white LC pad will finish down pretty well and remove some pretty good defects on GM black. Just something for you to consider if you go with a rotary in the future.

Thanks,

I have a Makita, but still perfecting my skills with it.

Some of those scratch would have to be wet sanded or else they're perminent.

I put a lot of pressure on those spots.......A LOT of pressure.
