detailbarn and my g35 coupe

i'd like to take the time to thank doug, at the detailing barn, for the outstanding work he did on my g35 coupe.

over the winter, i took my car to the local infiniti dealership to have it serviced. long story short, they ended up washing it (very poorly, i might add) and put swirl marks in my paint :(

a fellow g35 driver recommended that i check out this forum for some useful information. i posted asking if anyone knew of any professional detailers in my area. i received several responses pointing me in the direction of the detailing barn. after several months of procrastination, i finally gave doug a call to set up an appointment.

after speaking with him for several minutes, i realized that he had a vast knowledge of his profession and that he was very eager to help me out. that night, i stopped by to see his establishment and to check out some pictures of his work. after my visit, i was 100% sold that doug was the guy for the job.

i dropped my car off last night and he was done working his magic the next evening. doug's work and attention to detail is absolutely amazing. i couldn't be happier with the results. here are a few pictures that doug took, before it started raining.

2 coats of zaino... hopefully, doug will follow up with all of the other steps he took.

thanks for all of your help, doug!

Scott thanks for the kind words, it was a pleasure taking care of your car for you. So Scott and his G35 are my first Autopian customer.:D

Ok onto process:

Dealer installed swirls where pretty bad ,being black they looked even worse then they where. I did a complete Menzerna prep with the PC , starting with PG and a wool pad on the really bad scratches. I followed up with IP and an Edge medium cut pad , last polished it out with MP and a polish pad. LSP was Zaino , I was able to put two coats on before my time with the G35 had run out. Oh yeah the tires have 303 on them.

Thanks again Scott it was a pleasure working with you.

Great job Doug, very slick! :xyxthumbs ,

Those g35 are nice to work on, nice panels without to many lines breaking it up. No FMJ this time?

Thanks Bill,

That sounds right to me.

Unless Doug tells us different we'll go with your definition :xyxthumbs

The black looks incredibly deep and the car in general looks better than new!

Nice product choice as well :up

thanks for all the compliments guys , the G35 is a very nice car. I just love the exhaust note sounds very much like a Porsche.

L33 no FMJ this time , Scott wanted Zaino and I need to do some more durabilty test with the FMJ.

Bill was half right with the products PG is Power Gloss and MP is Micro Polish or as it's know on the consumer line Final Polish 2.

Doug,

Thank's for the product clarification Doug, keep us posted on the FMJ durability testing

Again,really nice work.
