Detail Fest Thread

Update from autogeek:

Got here at 10. Washed the car... all sorts of stuff is going on. We've got 3-4 new c6 vettes here getting detailed. I'm finally seeing a rotary in action *drool* Max is giving away all sorts of stuff. I've picked up some S&W, a bunch of wolgang products, some spray&rinse, etc etc. Great day so far. Update y'all later.

They're now giving it away! :LOLOL ........................ ;)

Sounds like a ton of fun. Like Paul, I'm here in melting snow and slush everywhere. I went to the supermarket and a bird blew a "deuce" all over my windshield while driving. :furious:

Have fun! :xyxthumbs

Yep, it was great!!

Very generous of Max with all the giveaways, pizza, etc. :bow

Weather was perfect and everyone seemed to have a great time. Definitely looking forward to trying out the new freebies.

Neothin, it was nice meeting you. Let me know how you like that glass cleaning system, might have to get that myself.

See ya,

Bill

Seriously... those that signed up to go and didn't missed out on alot. Max was practically giving the store away! They brought out carts of products and said go at it. There was shade in the back for car washing, a pro up front detailing a black vette, people got tours of the warehouse. It was an awesome day for everyone that attended. It was cool meeting people in real life. Next time we have to wear name tags with our forums name on it lol.

With the amount of stuff given away, it would make up for the money spent on gas. Yes it would've been worth it. Especially when you factor in shipping costs to your house added onto the product cost! I'm not even being unreasonable when I say that Max gave away a few hundred dollars in products today.

I ended up getting one of the largest guzzler WW towels made by cobra (softer than my pakshak WW's!), a poorboy's bug scrubber thing, and 2 4" polishing pads for free with my two orders I got today. Then with the give aways I ended up picking up some S&W, WG instant detail spritz, Ultimate wheel cleaner gel, black onyx tire gel, optimum hyper compound, and a 4 oz sample of WG deep gloss paint sealant. :woohoo:

Now I just have to find some cars to use all the stuff I came home with on! :dance

Total Est. Time: 23 hours, 33 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1531.11 miles

Roughly 42.5 gallons assuming 36mpg average. It'd be just under $100 each way. There's the cost of food/lodging to factor in too though.

pack a cooler for the way there, they gave you food at the meet, and pack non-perishables for the return trip. That eliminates the food cost. And for lodging? lay the seats down and bring a pillow. :D

whoa whoa whoa... don't turn this around on me. This was about you, not me :-D

Don't forget, I'm a floridian thru and thru. Springtime to you wisconsiners equates to 30's vs the 0's you get in winter time. my blood turns to ice at 50! Besides, your the one complaining about the cold weather, come enjoy some wintertime fun in the sun!

Looks like everyone made out like a bandit. I really enjoy doing business with Autogeek. They're professional, knowledgable, and their prices are great, and the specials and freebies they run are a lot of fun.
