Yes he does. The reason it went so smooth is because I didn't try to do any of it myself. :redface:

Well it looks like mostly positive feedback. I'm pretty happy with it too.

The side banner ads seem to be gone...I like that. I would prefer to have the banner ads between the thread messages than on the side forcing the threads into a smaller space.

I too prefer the full width spread. It's great when you have info or something to fill the void at the top of the page but once you're down a few posts it justs seems like wasted space. I also realize that this seems to be the way it's done now days. At least with the polls etc. on the right to me it seems more logical. We do in fact read left to right and the relevant material seems to be a natural beginning on the left. I've seen a few sites that put this info all at the top of the thread. It's kind of a pain getting to the meat but at least once you have passed it you're done dealing with it.
 
I like how it is right now that navi bar is over is over to the right. I looks much more natural now. Its like what Gearhead said, the important information naturally begins at the left side.
 
Thanks for all of the feedback and I am happy to see that it's mostly positive. We are still making adjustments so that everything flows together nicely for you guys.
 
Wow! Nice job Troy. I've not been on in a few days and when I logged on tonight, I closed out and did it again as I was surprised by the new look.

Everything looks great! I really dig the little "DC" road sign icon...very slick!

Troy i think the new look is very nice, However I really miss the old style chat room and the weather on the home page. Chatting on a daily basis was something that I had enthusiasm for as I would surf the web and when I heard someone enter the chat room I would return to that browser and chat, now with no sound I guess it is hit or miss. Unfortunately so far it has been miss. looks great and thanks for your hard work in making improvements. It just seems that I've lost the enthusiasm that I had just a week ago. I am sure I will get used to it though.:bigups

The weather still shows up on the home page for me.
Since I was never much of a chatter, I can't comment on that change.
Overall, the site seems to be easy to navigate and certainly has a different look.
It was an amazingly trouble free changeover. :bigups

Oh OK there it is I see it now. I must have been on just before it was put back on the home page. I have coffee and weather in the morning and diet pepsi and a chat in the evening. Thanks for pointing that out Charles.
