dent in the hood, question

Hi all,

My friend was installing some brighter hi-beam bulbs in his car last night. He left a box under the hood when he attempted to close it. The result is a small dent that looks just like one in door, except that it is protruding from the hood instead of the opposite. Can this problem be fixed by having a body shop push it in? I have not seen it myself, maybe I can get him to take a picture...

Just have a PDR technician check it out. In fact, when they fix a ding in PDR they often have to press it back in, if it ends up protruding. They use a special tool safe for use on painted surfaces and hammer it back in. (kinda scary but it actually works!) I read an article on the whole process on about.com. Good luck! :up

**EDIT**

Here's the link to that article PDR
