I'm getting a new Steel Blue (light color blue) car this month, and I'm wondering whether to use Zaino, Blackfire or Klasse.

To be honest, I've never heard of Blackfire or Klasse... are they similiar to Zaino's Z2?

Sorry for my ignorance.

I don`t think you can go wrong with any of them. They are all top notch products. BF appears to be directed towards darker colored paint. Zaino and Klasse have defitnetly proved themselves in the durability and aesthetic departments. BF is a very new product so the jury on durability is still out.

TBone :)

Hi there. I've tried the Klasse and Zaino and both products are pretty good. I would prefer the Klasse to most colors except for silver and maybe white. With that said, I must say that Blackfire sounds as the most interesting of the 3. It gives you the protection of a sealant but the gloss and shine of a carnauba wax. Wow! In addition, you get ZERO curing time before you can just apply another coat on your car. With Zaino, you need to purchase the ZFX separately and I believe it runs somewhere around $15-$20.

Buddy, you are going to get pics of Klasse and even Zainoed cars. But do some more research and reading before you make your decision. Laters

How do Z2 and Klasse differ? It appears to me that with Klasse you need some kind of topcoat protectant (ie Blitz), and with Zaino you don't... is this the case?

No. People often put a topcoat on top of Klasse to add depth and..because they can. With Zaino, the reasons have been stated in this thread.

Exactly. You certainly don't have to add a top coat of a carnauba. In fact, many people here don't. For a period of a good 5 or 6 months, I was perfectly content with 5 coats of Klasse SG. The shine was so brilliant that I really didn't see a need to top it off with anything. Trust me if you use nothing else but Sealant Glaze, you are going to be real happy with the results. Remember that we top it off because we are ANAL, COMPULSIVE AND BECAUSE WE LOVE DETAILING. Hope this helps. Laters

I just got a 2011 M3 with black leather. I take my daughter to school every morning, right after my wife spritzes her with OFF! insect repellent. I noticed today that there were stains all over the back seat from where my daughter climbs in to her car seat. The only thing I've tried so far is a little Palmolive and water. It may have made a dent in the stains. I'm a little angry at the situation right now, so it is hard for me to tell.

A google search tells me that DEET can stain leather, but that is the extent of what I see out there. Any ideas?

Lately, I've been using the Meguiars APC cut at 4:1 or 7:1 to clean my seats, with amazing results.

Nice choice on cars, those are beautiful!!
