:behindsofa: I am not sure why I never saw the light? I really thought it was a gimmick and that the best laundry detergents were just as good. Boy was I wrong!!!!

Normally, I do a heavy cycle, and do 1 or 2 additional rinse cycles, depending on the size of the load with vinegar added to it. The towels felt clean but I kept purchasing more and more towels as I love the feeling of a brand new towel and how much better they work vs my "used" towel. So when I was at 3D a couple of weeks ago, TOWEL KLEAN was 1 of 5 items I haven't tried from 3D so had a gallon sent to me so that I could try it.

Luckily, I had not done "laundry" in awhile so I brought is a big trash bag full of towels from the garage.

32 - 16x16

1 - 24x16

2 large waffle wave towels

4 window towels

2 applicators

1 grout sponge (not in the picture)

All clean now!!! Light and fluffy!

Read the directions and I used 3 capfuls. Not sure how much that is in oz.

I did one "heavy cycle. Nothing else. Towels went straight to the dryer. (Saturday night) I really wanted to see if this product worked.

I did a paint correction detail yesterday and was eager to wipe stuff off :D

Be smart and learn from my mistake and get your hands on some Towel Cleaner. My towels now feel brand new!!! Even on windows, they work perfect, nothing is left behind on the windows.

I am really exited now, why didn't I try it sooner??? On top of it, it saves you water, power and time. All these = saved $$$$

What a difference!

Thanks for reading, and I hope I helped a few people. Let me know your thoughts.

PS: I wish someone shook me years ago and said: ORDER IT!!!!!! Oh well, better late than never! :D

I've tried most of the usual suggestions, both "regular" (i.e., the usual detergents including Charlies) and "MF specific", and I too find that the "MF" detergents work better for me. Zero idea why :nixweiss But they do.

As I've posted before, OPC and Blue Dawn also work well, especially as pre-spotters.

Just out of curiosity, I tried my "MF" detergents on the household towels. Eh, no big diff, but I do sometimes still use that detergent for household stuff if I'm concerned about rinsing out clean, which my "MF" detergents seem to do especially well (note that I have softened water, which can require extra rinses).

Oh my god! I know at least one thing, Accumulator doesn't. Yeah!!!!!

It is the low suds that is the main difference.

Heh heh, I bet there's a [boat]-load of things you know that I don't :chuckle:

How so?

Some of the HE detergents I use seem as low in sudsing as my MF detergents.

And the MF detergents don't work any better than Dawn, which sudses like crazy. My various APCs run the gamut, but IIRC some of 'em (e.g., EFHI) are pretty moderate in sudsing too.

Been using my Towel Kleen awhile now, kept having problems with streaks so I kept just using new towels then tried this and stopped the streaking. Probably used it like 20 times and have 3/4 of a gallon left

Is 1 gallon the smallest quantity available?

And for what it's worth, I've used a dedicated detergent as well as laundry detergents and I had found it to work the same *if* I presoak the towels in Dawn and agitated them with my hands and then throw them into the wash with either detergent [and using extra rinses as well]. That seems to make a huge difference, but it would be nice to have such a cheap cleaner like Towel Kleen.

Hmm.... I really like the pricing on this.

Any chance of getting a smaller / sample size? I have been through regular detergent, Micro-Restore, and am currently useing CG MF Cleaner. I would like to try this out as it is like HALF the price. Thomas, what can you make happen?

I can drive to town, buy an empty bottle, pour some in it for you, get some packing supply, drive back to town, again, pay for shipping out of my own money etc...

What size bottle should I look for? :D:D:D:D:D:D

I'll be happy to send you some, since my word is not good enough.

I do believe you Thomas. And I am not trying to get something for nothing. That was not my intention.

Only hoping to be able to possible purchase a smaller 16oz-32oz size as a sample at first. I know it's not cost effective, but I like to do my own testing to verify my purchases.

I'm with Troy, sample sizes for the win. Although $16 for a gallon is dern cheap.

$16/gallon?!? Gee, that *is* very inexpensive for something like this  You can guess what my next MF detergent is gonna be.
