Dealer claims (3) sealant

I was canvassing a customer to detail his car. He told me a BMW dealer placed a (3) year sealant on his car at the time of purchase. Are there any (3) sealants out there? Are we to believe that a (3) year sealant exist, what is your opinion?



He also said the dealer said not to wax or seal his car until the three years are up.

Those things are a scam. The dealer sold one of those 'lifetime' waxes to my parents ages ago when they bought a car. The only problem was they needed to upkeep it by applying a 'solution' to the paint once every three months. They never did apply the solution. And guess how the car looked after 15 years?? Yeah, I think you get the picture.
