Black Friday! You wake up early (or don't go to sleep) so you can stand it in line at the store and battle the mobs to get a few items on sale.

Good Friday.
I think that was a joke...

BLACK FRIDAY!! It's time to start Christmas shopping! It is the busiest shopping day of the year. Usually the malls and stores open early with "door buster" deals and sales. They dont do this in the UK?

I have yet to figure the logic in this yet people still do it. I can't imagine standing in line at 5AM at the mall, I don't care what the savings are!

It's called marketing / hype...the media forums have done a bang up job of getting people into thinking that this is a day that you can save money on their Christmas buys....The fact is that those savings are avaiable all month long and even greater the day after Christmas

On black Friday I stay home and hunker down! You won't find me going out driving ANYWHERE unless it's an emergency! Tourist season + Black Friday = Women Gone Wild!! :eek: What ever money you would save is just not worth the pandamonium. I'd much rather stay home and wax my car and have peace of mind. ;)

LOL I wouldn't be surprised if Max decided to play Santa early. :smile

QUOTE=rabbi]Good Friday.[/QUOTE]
that would be around Easter I belive the Friday before...
lol.......

Black Friday was started because that is the day retail stores started to show a profit
hence "out of the red and in to the black".
there out of the red in sales and from this point on is there profit margin for the year.
the term was brought to the public from workers in the retail market, and history has been written.
nothing more and nothing less

Yes Good Friday is the Friday before Easter. I said the Friday after Thanksgiving is Good Friday because my wife and girls spend the entire day and evening shopping leaving me home by myself.I call this Good Friday or possibly making this the Best Friday!

This should be fun,we do have sales like this in the UK but people dont stay up all night for because either they are to lazy or the price on things dont come down much,but im really hopeing that autogeek will be doing some deals while im out there.

Jen would you happen to know if they would still send stuff to the hotel for me ? also whats the policy out there at the moment with taking liquids and such on a plane ?
