This may have been anounced before , but I wasnt' sure so thought I would ask. When will The Perfect Shine be available? I'm itching for some new reading.:D
 
I use the coders general rule.



"When it's done" is the only answer I expect to hear from *ANYONE* when I'm waiting in anticipation.



It's better than drawing deadlines and then pushing back.
 
Well, good question. I was planning to have it finished this month, but world events and earning a living got in the way. I had to put TPS on the shelf for a little while. I will release an ebook version. You will all understand why by the end of the month. All owners of the current ebook will get TPS ebook as a free upgrade. I have not finished pricing the printed version.

I see an absolute vacuum of detailing oriented books in the bookstores. Even as a novice, I see the existing selections as outdated and sophomoric. Looks to me to be a fine time to launch a well done project. Several PR firms 'guarantee' CNN type exposure for around $1500... Those networks seem to thrive on new car shows (witness the current Detroit Show) and , of course, they gravitate toward the standouts: Maybach, Rolls, Mini, Concepts. I know they'd love a 'real deal' before and after segment. The tag would be Canadian: "It's like having a new car...without the payments" (Scotty's Shine Shop)

The water may be fine, Jim, but I'm focused on keeping my sailors happy, healthy and full of life. Until June, the Navy and my sailors are my first priority.
 
I'm cranking on it as fast as possible. It adds about 75 new pages and a lot more photos. I'm going to make it available in a PDF format for easy printing.

Pdf sounds great , will the entire orginal guide be in the pdf format? Can't wait to get it in my library , like others have said the current books on detailing are lacking. Thanks David

Owners of the current book will recognize a lot of the material, but over 75 pages are completely new. Each topic is more complete than the Autopia Guide to Detailing book. I talk less about products and more about procedure and why. The biggest chapter is Paint Clinic, which I think is the most complete work on paint problems and how to fix them.
