Danese for hard water spots, or no?

Hello guys! I've archived the "hard water spot" questions so as not to ask an often repeated question here, but my question isn't just how to get it off, but if this product is worth a try, so here goes. I found the product Danese hard water spot remover. I've seen where some had success. My spots have baked on black paint (new 2008 Accord) for months. Vinegar was useless, as was all OTC products. I am about to take the leap by getting my first DA polisher along with various Menzerna products for polishing, but would love to try this Danese first if it could really work. My hesitation? Although the stuff is only about $15, the shipping is $12 (criminal, if you ask me), and I don't even know if it could really work on these baked on water spots. Would I be better off and $27 richer to just polish this crap out of my car and skip the Danese? Thanks.

Unfortunately, removing the actual minerals from the car is only half the battle. Not even half, really.... vinegar, clay, Danase water spot remover, etc. do a great job of removing the actual mineral residue, but *not* the etching in the clear coat left behind by the minerals. That takes an abrasive polish. *How* abrasive depends on the extent of the etching.

A very thorough clay job followed by an abrasive polish is probably your best course of action.

Thank you! I felt that a one-step fix (Danese) wasn't likely given the probable extent of the damage (months of baking in a hot Florida sun). On to the Menzerna!
