Does anyone have any experieance sp with Danase Wet Glaze over top of a LSP ??? His description states """"OR you can even use Wet Glaze on top of your favorite wax or sealant for added durability and appearance to them as well! And if that isn't enough Wet Glaze also repels dust! Wet Glaze applies so easy that is almost seems to melt right into the paint. You won't believe how wet your vehicle looks after an application of Wet Glaze."""""

Lets hear your thoughts. I love DWG myself......

Must be a slow time here on Autopia. I know many of you use DWG.... I'd really like to know about DWG on top of LSP's ...

I use it all the time except in the reverse. I usually use IW845 as the base and DWG as the top coat. Long lasting and awesome flake pop and depth.

I usually put down a layer of Collinite 476, then use DWG on top. My thinking is that 476 will offer great protection and long wear. After a couple of weeks I'll add DWG for added shine. I don't think DWG lasts long enough to use as the only LSP.

there is some info hope it helps

I use it a lot. Seems to work better over a sealant than carnauba wax IMHO...

Definitely worth the purchase.

used it over and under UPGP and it was superb. Not sure I'd want to use it over a wax, but a sealant I would think would be fine :2thumbs:

Does it have any cleaning ability? I just did a client's vehicle and he parked it next to the sprinklers and there's faith water spots remaining after he washed it off? Can it be used for this application?

Yeah, since DWG is sealant based, it would probably have a tough time sticking to a base coat of wax, for sure.

Bob doesn't market DWG as having any cleaning abilities, but if you're using it to remove water spots on a fairly fresh layer of a *sealant* (not a wax) I'd be willing to bet it would take the spots off. This is all speculation on my part, though, cause I haven't tried it.

I was told it wouldnt clean, and hence can be layered over LSPs and itself quite safely.

I certainly didnt see any cleaning on the pads when I applied it with the UDM and a finishing pad.

Funny thing is when I rub the spots with the tip of my finger, they come off. But they aren't coming off with a regular wash (per customer's method). I have a feeling that something really light should work. BTW, I used 1Z Glanz as my LSP.

I dropped him a email and Bob said "Danase Wet Glaze doesn't have any cleaners it in so there is nothing in the formula that will remove any LSPs."

DWG is very slick when I put it over KSG x5. Topped that with Souveran and it came out very nice.

Two weeks later, I wash the car and put on DWG. DWG over Souveran is nowhere near as slick as DWG over KSG. Still, looks really nice though, DWG with a dash of carnauba look.

I have used DWG over Collinite 476/885, layers on just fine. In the spring I will clean the paint and use 1000P as the base topped with DWG.
