DACP then SMR or Pre-wax cleaner?

Is there a set regimen one should follow after doing DACP with a white pad, or is it considered 'ready' for prewax cleaners, glaze, final wax?

thanks

I think you'll be able to go straight to the glaze. PWC shouldn't be necessary if you've done a proper job with DACP.

Here is a Q.. if the DACP is done right would a glaze even be necessary?? Wouldn't the next step be a non-filling polish then wax? Polish only needed if the DACP left a little hazing? I guess why I ask this is don't most glazes have fillers?

Well, I ask because I'm :nixweiss about DACP other than what I've read here so far. I do know I have a vehicle that will most likely require my first foray into that level of work..

Theoretically, yes, you could go straight to a wax after using DACP provided you work it long enough to break it down using the right pad. However, I usually like to follow with Swirl Free to further smooth the paint. At that point, a glaze is only needed for additional 'pop'.

Swirl free is my next adventure .. I think by spring the Zaino will be in dire need of redoing so I may venture into the Klasse area and I hope the swirl free is compatible there.

My thoughts too. :)

As usual, Scottwax nailed it. A polish does seem to smooth the paint a little more for me. And I've found that a glaze (I use Meg's #3) adds even more of a shimmering "wet" look because of the oils in it (mine is on white). Another thing the glaze can do is help fill the remaining swirls you may not have removed with DACP or polish (either by missing them or intentionally leaving them because of paint thickness concerns).

I agree as well. If DACP was fully broken down, you could skip a glaze or polish step. However, I always like to follow up DACP with Vanilla Moose before I top it with any wax.

So is #9 OK to use after DACP then? It's all I have as I've left it too late to order some #82 in time for Monday when I have a day off. I guess #9 has less polishing oils in it than a product like #82.
