Just curious, I MIGHT break out the DACP on my Honda next weekend. Thinking of also going FI II. If I do however go the DACP route I know it requires a good working in till it dusts and that it has diminishing abrasives. Because of this does it work itself down to a finer polish? Meaning, if I work it all the way with my PC should I be able to go right to a protectant?

That's usually how I use it. DACP typically leaves a terrific finish that I don't need to follow up with a finer polish. DACP kinda breaks down to a SMR so usually the finish is in excellent condition. Use DACP on a section and decide for yourself if you need a lighter polish to follow up.

What I usually do, and IMHO it is a little bit better, I work out a lot the DACP and then AIO and the the protectant of your choice, but alwasys the AIO give it a little more shine and better finish to the car, if I use Zaino after DACP I use 82 (SFP) and if I use P21S I do DACP GEPC and then P21s Carnauba wax

Like the previous 2 post I sometimes use DACP alone (silver metallic) but on black I follow with Menzerna IP and FP. On metallic blue :nixweiss. Do as Bret stated - test a section and analysize your results.

You will love DACP. :bounce

I use the DACP to cut out the blemishes. When I'm satisfied with that, I'll then burnish the paint further using Menzerna FP, at 6 on my PC, with my lightest cutting pad. When that has powdered and is virtually invisible, it get wiped down with a MF. This last step audibly demonstrated that there is nothing on the paint but squeek!. NextI apply AIO, with a finishing pad on PC @ #6, SG (WO-WO method) and the follow-ons after that.
