Cyclo Pads

Which brand of Cyclo pads do you use and why. It looks like a Cyclo is in my *very* near future and I would like to settle on one brand of pads and not look back. Anyone use Propel pads with a Cyclo yet? Please also note any problems that you have had with various pads.

Thanks in advance.:)

Glad to hear about your new toy ;)

I personally like the cyclo pads. Mosca seems to of had a good review of the sonus ones though. The LC pads I received I didnt like because they are concaved and there is no flat edge like their bigger ones |\_/| best I can draw it.

My picks would be sonus based on Mosca's review since they are flat and are thicker than the cyclo brand.

I'm satisfied with the Lake Country pads...

We use the Cyclo infrequently. Right now, it it is 'dedicated' to scrubbing carpets...

Changing the heads to do something that the PC can do just doesn't make sense. It is a fine tool, but we can't find a place for it...

A MAJOR supplier (Rep) commented on a recent occasion: "I can't think of a situation where I would say: 'Now that's a job only a Cyclo can handle.'

I'll keep it around...

BTW, I have a new Cyclo (In The Box) For Sale... Email a bid >$225

I think that Lake Country have the best pads I ever tried. I´ll use yellow, blue and white. Mostly blue and white, and they work great!

Same here. While I like the Cyclo pads, I suspect that's just because I've used them forever. Since most people do *not* like the Cyclo brand pads, I'd go with the Sonus too.

Yeah, IMO the *biggest* advantage of the Cyclo is the ergonomics, especially for people like me who don't like the PC. But then you and I have rotaries too, and now days people who *don't* have rotaries can use 4" pads on the PC when they need more "oomph" out of it. I'd say the 3.5" backing plate for the PC took some air out of the argument for buying the Cyclo, at least if the cost is a factor.

I sometimes feel sorta :o when I praise the Cyclo, as I don't want people to have unrealistic expectations. I use it for any job I can, but that doesn't make it right for everybody.

I too keep one Cyclo set up just for carpets, unless I'm doing LSPs (on with one, off with the other using suede-style MF bonnets).

Have any of you guys used the new Cyclo pads? The backing is different and they are thicker like the LC pads. They just got them out about 1 month ago.

Same colors and uses, but use a heat backing, not glue- holds up to cleaning much better I've been told. Also, the velcro backing is further away from the edge of the foam.

The LC pads are quite popular and it seems as I've asked before that it's about 50/50 on the flat vs. concave.

Rob, I'm kinda turned off by Lake Country pads.

Admittedly, my experience is with the 'older', 6" white pads, but, still...

Any suggestions?

I prefer and only use the Cyclo pads and the new ones are much nicer and I tend to have fewer "fit" problems with the new velcro.

Optimum Cyclo pads will be on their way tome soon, with some new sealant samples to test, and I'll post up my thoughts on them.
