Cyclo - amount of pressure on initial polish (PG, SIP, etc...)

For an initial polish with something 'strong' (e.g., Menzerna PG or SIP), do you just let the pad do the work, or do you apply a lot of pressure to the machine to help it cut?



I've always just let the pads do all the work, but I'm wondering when it's appropriate to really crank down on it?

I apply a moderate amount of pressure when polishing with my Cyclo. It is dependent on what type of polish/pads I am using and the severity of the paint correction.
