Currently using P21s and wanting to switch to Zaino, Prep suggestions?

Hi,

currently my car is using P21s and i want to try Zaino. Now what would be the best possible method to allow zaino to bond properly. The paint is still in good condition with some minor scratches near the hood area which i might plan to use the PC to get rid of them.



These are my arsenal:



PC7424 with yellow, white, grey pad

3M Perfect It II Fine cut, medium cut and SMR

Manzerna IP and FP

Klasse AIO

P21S GEPC

Zaino Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7

tons of microfiber.



With only these items, how can i properly prepped the car?

No one can tell you what your car needs without looking at it.



If it were me:



Wash

Clay

Menzerna IP/FP as needed

AIO

Z5 or Z2

Thats the plan that i had in mind. Dont u need to Wash after the AIO to remove the oils ????

AIO has no oils. It contains some minimal acrylic which will provide a nice base for the z to bond to.

If it smears and won't ever dry, that could be one indicator. It is usually pretty obvious if it is doing it's job. Another indicator could be durability. If it only lasts a couple of weeks, then there is a problem.

I'm using z over aio without problems. Many hardcore z users here have, and still do use z over aio, and have had no long term problems. I trust that it will work well. If you have your doubts, you could always do an ipa wipe before z'ing. This will remove the AIO acrylic and should make the paint squeak (squeaky paint = clean paint).
