Current clay of choice?

I have been doing a lot of switching lately. Trying to find a clay that I like. I know that I am not impressed with the Megs Medium Clay. The only one that I have found that I am somewhat impressed with is the DP clay. Could someone please give some feedback? Thanks!!

Well, it obviously depends.

But generally I have about four grades.

Sonus Gray- Pretty aggressive need to polish after

Clay Magic Blue- Medium aggressiveness, need to polish after

Zaino Z18- Less than CM Blue aggro, need to polish after

Sonus Green- Fine clay, for spot claying and light claying if I am trying to avoid polishing after.

Polishing afterwards has alot to do with relative paint hardness/softness. However, I use an AIO even if I dont notice any marring. OPS/DG Marine/ZAIO/Prime Strong

Nsxtacy what paint did you use CM blue on? I have always found it a finer grade, not like Sonus green but not CM red(medium). It didn't marr when I have used it

I buy the Mark-V clay bars, but find that the new sponge rubber on one side is much better than any clay bar. It's very very agressive, but if you're doing a full polish on the car anyways, it's well worth it. Very quick and easy to use, and removes the most stubborn residues. I'm sorry, but i don't remember who makes the sponge.

Me neither? I can count on 1 hand the amount of times Blue Clay Magic has marred a car's finish. Unless you're using it incorrectly or with the wrong lube, I think it's really mild.

As well as and in conjunction with the type of contaminant. Additionally, I look veeeery closely.

But, that's the contaminants marring the surface in this case and not the clay. I'll stand corrected on 2 of the softest finishes I've worked with = Black 911's & Bentleys. Do you get bad marring on your NSX?

Since i'm a total klutz and have dropped so much clay it makes my head spin, i switched to the chemical guys clayblock. Works great, and when you drop it, you can clean it off.

I used a Meguiar's clay kit today that came with two bars a 'premium' microfiber towel and QD. It was a pretty nice kit. The clay was decent and didn't crumble at all. It stretched nicely.
