Hey guys, I finally got the money together to buy all the products I need to finally do my first 'real' detail of my car. But I'm still a little confused on the exact steps I should take for best results.
I just bought Optimum Porter Cable 7424 Kit from autogeek but I will be buying different LC foam pads(as I have read in many threads the 6.5in has little cutting power).
I am confused though, what color and how many of each color foam pads should I buy?
Anyway, here is what I have so far for my steps:
1.Wash with Meg's gold class
2.Clay with mother's clay bar kit
3.Apply Optimum Compound II with PC using 4.5in orange light-cutting pad
4.Apply Optimum Polish II with PC using 4.5in white polishing pad
5.Apply Optimum Poli-Seal with PC using 6.5in gray finishing pad
6.Apply Optimum car wax
Are these the right pad/polish combination I should use? How many times should I change pads while polishing (1 pad per panel?)
