I have amassed a few products over the past couple years and I'm completely stumped as to which I should put "on the shelf" and which I should keep in my detailin' container.
I detailed the paint this week and it came out great, however I'm wanting to know if some of my unused products are interchangable for some that I did (i.e., at this point in time, worthless), or if I could have put in another step.
My process was:
1. wash w/dish
2. Claybar / wash w/Meguiars car wash
3. Klasse AIO (paint cleaner/prep) via DA buffer
4. 3M Swirl Remover via DA buffer
5. Blackfirere SG
6. NXT
What I've got left over are the following:
1. 3M finesse-it fine compound (what is this for, anyway? I used it for non-paint related duties in the past, and wondering if it'll be of any use on my paint at any time)
2. Megs #7 show car glaze (is this comparable to the SG, or is the sealant a glaze AND sealant whereas the Megs is just a glaze?)
3. Megs Gold Class liquid
4. Megs 26 paste (I prefer the shine I get from Gold Class over this stuff)
My paint is 3 years old and pretty much as new as can be. Taken care of, garaged, never seen snow, only seen rain a couple times. The only swirls I can see I've been told I pretty much can't do anything about them since they're only visible in 'the right light' and at the right angle.
So what do I do with my extra stuff? :nixweiss
