I'm a newb with detailing and just bought a pc off someone and he gave me an orange pad. I clayed the car first. Then I applied a "+" on the pad and set speed to 5 applying firm pressure and now i've noticed circular marks on my car that was definately caused by the pc. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in Advance

IMHO an orange pad is too aggressive to use with Poli-Seal. A white pad would be the correct choice.

You don't have to put a lot of pressure on the PC. Maybe 2 to 3 lbs extra. Let the machine do the work.

Speed 4.5-5 is OK.

I put a "+" the first time to load the pad. Afterwards 3 pea sized dots.

Be sure the pad is clean.

yea Orange is def way to strong for poli-seal it is an AIO and will remove some swirls and marks BUT the orange pad itself (being made for light duty compounding) will leave trails on its own.

I found that the gray pad is best for poli-seal, also says on autogeek and lake country.com that gray with a finish polish (ie poli-seal and Menzerna 106FF) will remove buffer/pc swirls (user mistake) its a finishing pad but you can use either white or gray for poli.
